Bland Family Shower

My Mother in Law Debbie, and Sister in Laws Whitney and Megan threw me such a fun shower on September 22nd. Whit made these super cute Thank Yous, Megan made some amazing sugar cookies and a yummy fruit tray, and Debbie made a delicious breakfast casserole and had great goodies to go with it!! It was a family and friend shower, It was so fun to see everyone and meet some new people as well!!

I am 38 weeks here.

My sister and her husband were out of town to Cancun for their anniversary so my mom had both the girls. They were so good other then Jaelyn was very tired and just wanted to take a nap the whole shower.

First off we ate our yummy breakfast and chit chatted with everyone.

Next it was time to open up all the fun gifts. Laryssa LOVED helping me open all of them. We got great presents!! Everyone was so Generous.

What a fun day with fun people. Thank you everyone!!! Everything is coming together it is crazy to think that her due date is in 5 days and she technically could come any time!!!

Baby Jae's 1st!!

On September 9th it was Jaelyn's 1st Birthday!! I can not even believe that she is 1. Holy moly this year flew by. My sister had a family birthday party for her at their house. We had a fun little photo booth...

Haha the photo booth was a hit!!

Lindsay made this awesome cake and cupcakes. They were super tasty.

After we all had some fun with the photo booth we had some hamburgers and drinks. Then it was present time!! Jaelyn got some super cute and fun things.

She loves soft things she always cuddles them and says "Awwww!!" :)

She loved her cup cake. She made a huge mess but it was so cute!! She even wanted to share with mommy!! She loves to share.

LOVE this baby girl!!! Happy Birthday Jae!!! You are the sweetest little sweetie ever. It is so much fun being an aunt to her and Ryss. They always bring the Biggest Grin to my face!!

Week 38!!!

How far along? I am 38 weeks along and will be 39 tomorrow.
Total weight gain: I have only gained 22 pounds. I am proud to admit it :)

Maternity clothes? I am still wearing some and also wearing normal clothes. I love that the style for pregnant women is to show off the belly.

Sleep: I sleep awful at night... My stomach gets so tight and sore and my ribs ache!! But I am tired ALL the time.

Stretch marks? None still!!! Yay!

Miss Anything? Being able to move around so easily. And Sleep.

Best moment this week: We got her crib put together, her car seat and stroller, and a rocking chair!! People are so generous. My client just gave us his old rocking chair!!

Movement: Yes still lots!! My doctor said she might slow down because she has ran out of room. I have noticed that there are times where I don't feel her but she still moves a lot.

Gender: Our sweet little girl!!

Food cravings: Mac and cheese!! But I do eat really anything.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I have had a cold for a week... Coughing is really making me sick!!!

Labor Signs: I have had a few braxton hicks and 1 contraction. I am dilated to a 1 1/2 and thin!!

Symptoms: Heart burn still every night. Back and feet are very sore. Pregnant brain haha!

Belly Button in or out? It is out!!

Wedding rings on or off? I can still fit it on but through out the day my hands swell and my ring gets stuck... makes me very claustrophobic!!

Happy or Moody most of the time: I am happy!! She will be here in 8 days!!! (if I go on time)

Husband this week: He is so excited for her to finally get here!! He feels my belly all the time and talks to her!! He is so cute.

Looking forward to: Having her here. I am still beyond nervous but very happy!!!

Baby Size: Tomorrow.... Week 39: Watermelon, Average size: 18.9-20.9 inches, 6.2-9.2 lb

Beddy Bye

It was time for us to get the crib up. Time is flying by so fast and we are now down to the wire!!

Griff did such a good job putting the crib together.

Our families have been such a big help!! The crib my parents got us, the mattress Griff's parents gave us, and the sheet is made from my sister!! I love it!!

I am officially 38 weeks along. I am still working this week and 2 days next week then I will be on maternity leave. We are beyond excited and nervous that our baby girl will be here so soon. I have been thinking non stop about things I need to set aside for a hospital bag for us all, making sure Griff will be able to take a good amount of time off work with us, and getting all the things we still need for her. Griff is so so excited and keeps asking me "when will we finally get to meet her??" It is the cutest thing ever. She sure is moving a lot and sometimes it even hurts with how hard she pushes. I think I have had 1 contraction... Last week at work I was doing a haircut and I felt some pain in my lower stomach and back it lasted for a few minutes then went away. I asked one of the girls I work with who just had a baby if that was a good or bad pain, she said it was a contraction!! Lets just cross our fingers that I don't go into Labor while at work.. that would not be good.

Can not wait to meet our sweet girl and  snuggle with her!! :)

Family Baby Shower

My family threw me a shower on September 8th. It was a family and ward shower. My mom and sister went all out. They really did such an amazing job with the shower. Candy dishes, breakfast casserole,  muffins with little bikinis on the top, Grandma made hand sanitizer thank you gifts, and a fun candy game.

Blakelee sure made a haul!! She is one loved little girl already. We got a bath tub, silver wear, cups, bottles, diapers and wipes, sheets, bows, clothes, gift cards, and Much Much more!!!

We used the gift card that my grandma and relatives gave us, to buy her car seat and stroller. It should be here next week!!

Oh Baby Baby

We are now getting down to the nitty gritty... Less than 5 weeks left!! We can't even wait. We are a bit nervous and scared but what new parents aren't?? There seems to be a never ending list of things that I want done and that need to be done before she is born. Her base boards and getting painted but we haven't even started painting her door, we need to move the bed out of her room and set up her crib, wash her clothes (the newborns at least), get her some cute bows and headbands for her newborn pictures, find a photographer to take her newborn pictures that isn't to pricey, and still get diapers, formula, bottles, more burp rags, car seat, and stroller. We for sure still have many things but we do have a few more showers!!
I met my new doctor on Tuesday.. I was a bit nervous going to a new doctor, a boy doctor, being in a new clinic and going alone!! But everything turned out great. He was very nice, his name is Dr. Ollerton. They told me I can see him the rest of the time or I can schedule to meet the other doctors until I deliver... with only 5 weeks left I would rather see just the same doctor!! I will be seeing him every week from here on out.
It is for sure getting more and more uncomfortable being pregnant... she on average weighs over 5 pounds which is heavy including all the other additional weight from just being pregnant. I am not use to having this extra weight.. it is hard to bend over, sleep, stand all day, sit, lay on my back, and do a lot of movement! It will all be so worth it in the end though :).
I only have roughly 4 weeks left at work until I go on maternity. It is a non paid leave, which will be a struggle but we will make it work. I do have some vacation time that I will be using, so that will be a huge help. And if anyone needs a haircut while I am off I will be more then willing to do some cuts. I leave September 21st and return November 3rd. I know that it is going to be one of the hardest things going back to work and not being with my baby girl, so I am just preparing myself now so I am not as huge of a wreck! My sister will be watching Blakelee most of the week!! I can not be more thankful that I have a sister who lives so close to my work and is willing to help us out. She will have her 3 days a weeks, Griff will get a fun daddy daughter day every Saturday, I will get her all Friday, and Wednesdays we will play it by ear. It is going to be very stressful trying to get her on a schedule while running her around so much but I just hope that we can find the best schedule for us.
We are so excited to enter into this new life for ourselves, it is coming very fast like I say all the time!! It will be a whole new chapter in our life's. Blakelee we are so thrilled to meet you and see who you look like!! You let us know you are in my tummy all the time, with your hiccups or your kicks. We loving feeling and seeing you move around so much. We love you so much!!!
