Carving Pumpkins

On Sunday October 26th we invited our friends out to have dinner, carve pumpkins, and watch Walking Dead. Becca and Stefan couldn't make it but Steve and Lara came out. We had Navajo Tacos, scones, and apple pie!! Such a yummy dinner.
We then started to carve our pumpkins.d Blakelee found a crayon and decided to color on hers!! When we started to pull the guts out she kept making a disgusted face and sticking out her tongue. She had a spoon and would just move it around inside in the pumpkin but wouldn't get any seeds out. Such a silly girl. I tried to put her hand inside and she started to get mad and pulled her hand out. I guess she finds it nasty!!
Griff bought a tool that you hook up to a drill and it carves out the guts for you. So the boys did that! It was pretty nifty. I will have to try it out next year!! Since Griff had the drill already out he decided to drill holes in his pumpkin instead of carving. Steve made a scary face, and Lara glittered hers. Before I started to carve my design I wanted to get a picture of Savvy in the pumpkin. My pumpkin was just a tad to small but it ended up working out. Good thing she has good head control!!! I then carved a Dracula in mine. After carving the boys played some computer games while Blakes went to bed and Lara and I watched Hocus Pocus. We then watched the Walking Dead. It was a great Halloween filled night.
Blake really wanted to sit in the pumpkin too haha! But it was much to small for her. But I love those pouty lips!

Birthday Fun

October 25th is my mom's birthday as well as my father in laws birthday. So in the morning we all went out to breakfast at Denny's. Afterwards the girls and I went over to my parents house to cut my dad's hair and to spend the day with them.
It was such a great fall day. My parents have the best fall backyard with all the trees. There were tons of leaves on the ground so I showed Blake and we all played in the leaves for awhile. Blakelee had a blast, she loved it when we would toss the leaves in the air, she would just giggle!!
Seriously!!! I think she had the time of her life.
Fall is the best season ever!!! As much as I love summer I love Fall!!!
"Look Mom!!" Loving all the crunchy leaves.
Papa tossing leaves at her!
After playing in the leaves we had some lunch then Blakelee went down for a nap! While she was sleeping my sister came over to have me do her make up like a fairy for their ward Halloween party!
Then I finally decided I better cut Blakelee's hair. Everyone would tell me how much her hair looked like a mullet... Yes it did but with a bow it was long and cute. She has hair just like mine when I was little. She doesn't grow hair on the sides just above her ears. So if she grew hair there then it wouldn't look like a mullet haha. So I cut off about 1inch. It looks so much better but still need that side hair for it to not be a mullet!
That night we went out to dinner at the Chuck Arama with Griff's family for Scott's birthday. It was a nice night out and very yummy.
Happy Birthday you two!!!

Our Zoo Day

Blake, Savvy and I met up with Lindsay her girls and Alica and her daughter at the Zoo on October 24th. It was a perfect day. We couldn't of asked for better weather. I hadn't been there since they put in the Safari area.
Blakelee was having a ball running around with the girls and looking at all the fun animals. All the animals were out and about which was great to see. We even saw the sea lions put on a show! After we spent a few hours walking around the Zoo we went to lunch and then it was nap time!!
I have loved having all this free time to spend with my girls. It has been a blast to be able to take them to all these fun places.
We rode on the train!!! Blakelee loves trains, every time she sees a train or thinks she hears a train she says "momma choo choo!!!" She was in heaven.
