Easter

The weekend of Easter was defiantly eventful!!
In the morning my Grandma had her egg hunt with the family. Blakelee had an absolute blast running around the backyard looking for all her eggs so she could get her presents!!
That night our friends came over to color eggs. It was such a fun day and night filled with Easter fun.
Easter morning was great! Blake was spoiled!!!
She got so many fun gifts from the Easter bunny.
That morning we opened gifts and went to church.
After church we went to my moms for her dinner and hunt.
The girls had a blast looking for their eggs at Grandma Lonna's.
Both grandparents came over to celebrate with us.
Best Buddies!!
They love each other and ask for each other all the time!!
Blake will say "momma where Jae??"
After dinner and hunting we did gifts. Thanks mom and dad for the fun gifts!
We did our gender reveal after all the fun was coming to an end. I made a cake with pink in the middle so when our families cut into it they knew what we were having!! A GIRL.
We then went over to Griff's parents house. They gave the kids a cute little gift. We then did our gender reveal with them as well.
What a great Easter!

Miss Blakelee 18 months!!

This spring Blakelee turned 18 months old!!
She is and has always been my sweet and sassy girl.
Defiantly all girl!
A tad of attitude with a splash of smiles and giggles.
Oh how we love her!

More then Half Way!

20 weeks
22 weeks

How far along? I am 23 weeks and 6 days.

Total weight gain: About 5 pounds.

Maternity clothes? Just wearing leggings and regular shirts. I would rather wear my sweats all day if I could get away with that.

Sleep: Starting to not sleep well... I have been getting a good amount of heart burn almost every night that keeps me up, having to go pee a lot through the night, and my arms are getting sore from sleeping on my sides since that is the only position that I can do now.

Stretch marks? None lets hope it stays that way!

Miss Anything? Shopping for new clothes. It isn't something you can really do when your body is changing so much..

Best moment this week: Was able to buy a big girl bed for Blakelee!

Movement: She is moving! I mostly feel her when I lay down. It is so fun to feel all the wiggles.

Gender: GIRL!!

Food cravings: Still eating lots of cereal, wanting fruit, and shakes.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Every once in a while I get a wave of sickness if I haven't eaten well or had enough water and I am standing or walking around. If I am sitting or laying I am usually just fine.

Labor Signs: Nothing.

Symptoms: Belly is popping out more and more each day!

Belly Button in or out?  Slowly becoming more flat!

Wedding rings on or off? Still on.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody!! But yet it depends on who I am around haha!

Husband this week: He has a busy few months ahead of him putting things together for Blakelee's big girl room.

Looking forward to: Snuggles from this little one.

Baby Size: 8.5 Inches 1.5 pounds roughly the size of an ear of corn.

Names: Have a few I like but have not decided fully on one.

I am seriously in shock at how quickly this pregnancy is going. I am not even prepared at all to have 2 kids right now. We have so much to get done still with all the transitions... We bought Blakes her big girl bed today!!!! I am thrilled to get it put together so we can start to introduce her to it so she isn't is shock when the baby comes thinking the baby stole my room!!! It is very cute and low to the ground so it shouldn't be to hard for her to adapt to it. She has napped in regular beds before but nothing consistent enough to be certain that it will be easy or hard on her. I have lots of ideas on how I want her room so I am very excited to see how it will all end up. Blakelee is also showing many signs of wanting to be potty trained!!! Happy Day!! Her cousin had to go potty the other day and Blakes saw her use the big potty and she started to pull her pants off and reaching for the potty, laughing my head off and having tears running down my face from laughing so hard at how cute and funny the whole thing was, I helped her take her pants and diaper off. She sat on the potty and even grabbed toilet paper to wipe herself then said she was done. We have a potty for her at home and she will sit on it throughout the day. She is now grabbing at her diaper anytime she pees a little and if she sees a potty she will want to sit on it. My goal was to have her potty trained by December this year, that way we didn't have 2 kids in diapers for very long. But by the looks of things and how the training goes, Blakes might be potty trained lots sooner. Now fingers crossed I can figure out how to train her without having all this time off work. I hear you have to be home with them to keep it pretty consistent.
I will be officially on my maternity leave starting September 10th to November 10th. Baby girl is due September 14th, so fingers crossed I don't go into labor while I am at work... That would be awful! I am thrilled to be able to take 8 weeks off this time around and hopefully get as adjusted as we all can during that time frame. I am starting to get more and more baby hungry the more I feel her move around. Not that I wasn't already, but when I found out we were expecting I was so nervous knowing I was going to have 2 kids! Blakelee is growing so fast and learning something new every day and I think it has helped me to be more excited to have a baby!! 2 reasons... Blakelee isn't a baby anymore and because she is getting to point that she helps me and understands me better. It will be so nice to have a helper with the baby!!! She throws things away for me when I ask her to and picks things up for me if I need her to. She is learning how to listen.
So for the next 16 weeks of my pregnancy we will be:
..Potty Training
..Setting up a big girl bed
..Buying the rest of the big girl room furniture
..Calling the insurance about a breast pump
..Getting baby clothes out and washed
..Moving Blakes to her new room
..Buying baby diapers
And much more I am sure. Things always come up or you remember what needs to be done as soon as it is crunch time. We are thrilled to meet this little girl. Now that I know more what to expect with Labor and having a new born at home, I think I am more excited because I am more prepared. I know you can't fully prepare when it is the unknown but I feel like I will be able to handle it a little more smoothly then I did with Blakes. With Blakes I was a mess.... I was so confused and my world was completely turned upside down, I had no clue what to do or how to handle my every day tasks. So now that I understand the stress and time of new born better I feel like I will adapt better.... lets hope!!

Little One at 18 weeks

How far along? In this picture I am 15 weeks to the day, but as of today I am 18 weeks 1 day.

Total weight gain: I have only gained about 2 pounds so far, even though I look like I have gained much more.

Maternity clothes? Not really. I mostly wear leggings and lose shirts, but I can still wear my skinny jeans even though through out the day I might have to unbutton them!

Sleep: I sleep pretty good as of now!! Thank heavens. Other then more potty breaks through out the night I feel like I am getting some great sleep!

Stretch marks? None!!!

Miss Anything? Nothing really right now. But I guess I would say sea food... I know I can eat some things but I never know exactly what that is.

Best moment this week: This Friday we have our 18 week appointment, Not sure what they will do in that appointment but hoping to see the baby!!

Movement: I have felt the baby move once in awhile. Little kicks here and there but you really have to be in tune to feel them.

Gender: We know but we are revealing the gender on Easter.

Food cravings: I will crave something randomly, but nothing very consistent. Mostly I want cereal!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Standing for long periods of time without eating or drinking anything for a bit will make me dizzy!

Labor Signs: No not this early.

Symptoms: Just starting to get a belly and very tired all day!

Belly Button in or out? Still in but I have an outtie!

Wedding rings on or off? Oh still on!

Happy or Moody most of the time: I have been every emotion with this pregnancy, mostly I have been moody and easy to make mad, then I am emotional... Sucks!

Husband this week: Just thinking of names!!

Looking forward to: Getting lots of projects off my list before the baby comes!

Baby Size: 6 inches .5 pounds roughly the size of a mango.

Names: Nothing set in stone.

This pregnancy has flown by... I am already almost half way and I feel like I haven't crossed anything off my to do list before this little one arrives. We need to make our spare room into Blakelee's big girl room and move everything from that room down into the basement. Hoping that we can start on the basement so we can have an area for our computer (since our spare room is our computer room as well) and make an extra closet down there for all our extra clothes that are in the spare closet. Those are top of my list.
I have tried to show Blakelee that there is a baby in mommy's tummy because she points to belly's when you ask her where her belly is at. So sometimes she will point to mine and I say "baby!" then she corrects me saying "momma!!!" haha! I think she will love being a big sister although I know it will be an adjustment for her to share momma and daddy. But she loves babies and will point at all the babies she sees and says "bobba" aka baby. She loves her baby doll and will give her kisses and rock her so hopefully she will keep that up with her younger sibling.
It is crazy knowing that before Blakelee's 2 year birthday we will have have another one on our hands. I have been through just about every emotion knowing that we will have another baby in 22 weeks... At the very beginning of finding out I was pregnant I was terrified, but as time has gone on and seeing Blake learn and grow so much so quickly I am getting more and more baby hungry to meet this baby!! I would like to say that I am preparing myself for the stress and craziness that 2 kids will bring my life but you never truly know until you are in the situation, I learned that with Blake's. But on the other hand knowing more as to what to do as far as mom instincts, nursing, bed time routines,  naps, and just knowing what you would've done differently with your first... I think I am more prepared... I hope!
I will be taking 8 weeks off this time around hoping that will help me and the kids to get on a good routine or at least start the routine. With Blake I only took 5 weeks... It was nice to get back to daily life but it was beyond stressful because it was far to early to go back. I will still be working after this baby but the plan is to only work 3 days. Right now I work 4 days but every Tuesday I have to find and ask for sitters because no one can fully take that day as it is with one kid let alone 2. So I will only work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. I am not going to lie it would be wonderful if it worked out for me to stay home... as much as I LOVE what I do and I know I would get stir crazy needing to get out of the house alone, but it would be so nice to be a mom full time. Right now juggling 2 jobs as a stylist and mom can be exhausting. I wouldn't trade either for the world because they are both blessings in our life but being a mom is a much bigger blessing!
We can not wait for our family to grow and to meet our little bundle of joy in a few short months. Everything will change but for the better!

Baby Bland 2 on the way!!!!

On Saturday January 18th I got home from work and didn't feel very well. It was such a busy day, I didn't stop going all day long. When I got home all I could think of is how sick I felt. We were going to dinner with some friends that night and I needed to feel better so I would be fun. Then all the sudden it hit me.... Maybe I am pregnant!!! But no there was no way!!!! So I grabbed a test and it immediately was positive!! My mouth dropped... I couldn't even believe it!! As happy as I was I scared and nervous ran through my mind. My baby isn't even 2 and we are now pregnant! So I acted as if I knew nothing and went to dinner... But now knowing I was pregnant I could tell all the symptoms were there and had been there for awhile. Nothing at dinner sounded good and I was exhausted. Through out the past weeks I had moments where I felt nausea, tired, hungry all the time but nothing sounded good, and moody!!! It was all there and while at dinner that was all I could think about. I am sure I was no fun even though I was trying to normal... how can you be normal when you have a huge secret!!!!
So on Sunday I knew I had to tell Griff but I was not prepared to tell him since I hadn't had time to run to store from the time I found out to Sunday morning. I was of course sick that morning so we didn't make it to church... I just laid in bed every chance I could get and Griff was so confused as to why I was being so lazy!!! So I asked him if his parents wanted to come to our house for the bachelor and dinner. That way I had an excuse to run to the store to get some dinner items and to get some things to tell him the news (I know that is breaking the Sabbath but I was desperate to tell him!!!). But his parents told us they wouldn't be able to make it over. So I figured I would have to be creative... So I drew up a BIG SISTER sign and brought down the test I took, and set it on the table. I had Blakelee coloring the sign when Griff came downstairs. He looked at Blake's and asked "what are you coloring?" As he came closer he looked at me and said "Are you pregnant????" with a huge smile!!! As tears ran down my face I shook my head yes!! Next I said... "sorry we can't go on our cruise!!!" We were going to go on a cruise with our friends for our anniversary and her graduating from nursing school, in September! But that won't work out anymore haha!! Griff just laughed and said "it is OK!!!" with a huge hug!!!
It is amazing at how your emotions come into play so quickly!!!
Griffin's parents ended up making it out later so of course we had to tell them. The news is just to fun not to share. So we typed up a big sister sign and taped it to Blakelee's back for there arrival!! When they got to our house  they saw the sign and were thrilled!!!! We then of course talked about when we are due and any names...
The next day on Monday we told my parents kinda of the same way. We gave them a sign as well and they were stoked as well and they asked us the same questions!!!
After our first appointment we found out we are due on September 14th and as of now... No Names that we can both agree on haha!!! Baby names for baby number 2 isn't as easy as baby number 1 was!!
We are thrilled and can not wait to meet this little one!!!!

New Years in Vegas

For New Years this year Griff and I didn't do much. My friend Lara came over since her hubby was working a night shift. We all watched movies and had some goodies!!
In the morning we headed to Las Vegas. Griff and Devin were playing in some golf tournaments so Meg and I tagged along with our babies! The drive there wasn't to bad, Blakelee was a trooper in the car.

She loved dancing to our music!!!
Once we got there it was dinner time and we were all hungry!! Griff went and checked us in and then we headed down to the food court for a quick bite to eat. Then we hit the strip for some site seeing. Devin and Meg didn't make it in till early in the morning since they had to work before they could leave.
Heading out on the strip. Blakelee loved all the lights!!!
It was getting late so Blake and I headed up to the room while Griff played in a tournament. I got her all ready for bed then crossed my fingers that she would sleep good!! She is SO use to sleeping in her own room with the door shut, that when we travel she thinks she can stay up all night because it is a different routine. So we covered her Pack and Play with the curtain and had lots of milk on hand just to calm her down if she woke up.
So I put her down and watched some TV on a low volume and she fell right asleep but through out the night she woke up a few times... Stressful!!!
In the morning the boys headed out early to play golf so us 4 got some breakfast and played in the room for a bit!! The 2 littles loved having each other there to play!!! They just laughed the whole trip with each other.
"Do you see the view???"
Little Beau loved Blakelee's stroller!! He watched most of his cartoons sitting in it! Hahah!!
It was a pretty nice day so we hit the pool... mostly the hot tub. They kids loved it! Meg was brave enough to play in the pool with Beau. Me on the other hand mostly stayed warm in the hot tub!!
After we were done with the pool we got ready for the day and the boys met us in our room for a buffet lunch!!! We went to Planet Hollywood and got a 24 hour buffet.
Like I have mentioned before it is hard for sleeping for Blake's on Vacation. So while we were waiting in line for the buffet Blakelee finally gave in and took a nap. I was thrilled I could eat in peace and not while she is was crying. The boys had to scarf their food so they could make their next tee time. So Meg and I tried to eat in peace but with 2 little ones awake it is hard work. But the food was delicious!
Next on the agenda... Shopping!! We went to a few places but didn't have much luck. It was still so much fun. They kiddlets were exhausted so we headed back to the room to let them rest.
After golf and naps we hit the strip and tried to make it to another hotel for a different buffet with our pass. But all the lines were about 2 hours long... so we went back to PH which worked out great!!!
On our way to the buffet they kids had to look and point at everything. So we would stop and take TONS of pictures of course!! Because that is what you do when your mom. Especially since it was Blake's first trips to Vegas!!
Kissing Cousins haha!!
After throwing a huge embarrassing tantrum she finally fell asleep at our LATE night dinner!!!
In the morning we decided we would start packing up while the boys golfed one last course!! We knew it was going to be a golf trip and more of a single mommy trip.
They kids loved splashing in the bath.
Beau and I became buddies this trip!! He ran right over to me and sat on my lap!!!! I was thrilled!
Trying to keep them entertained while we waited on our hubby's!! Unplugging the phones works wonders.
Once they made it back to our room we checked out and loaded up our cars then decided we had time for one final buffet before our 24 hours was up. So we went to Ceasers Palace. It was seriously amazing!!!!
Next it was time to say our goodbyes.....
.. We always hate it when vacations come to an end!! And hate it even worse when we aren't both going home to the same place. But we had a blast even though it was truly only a 1 day trip it was still a fun getaway!!!!
